New York to London (via Black Mountain)

New York to London (via Black Mountain), is an on going project involving sculpture, drawing and painting. The work consists of a collection of altered packaging crates used to transport art from a New York gallery to its branch in London.

When in transit an artwork is dissasociated with its aesthetic and conceptual values. Housed in a crate the object is practical and acts to protect its financial asstes. The crates have been arranged to resemble a structure popularised by the Black Mountain College group, 'Metronome X' was a proposition for a moveable, adaptable andautonomous studio/ living space.
